Rolandas Atkočiūnas

Rolandas Atkočiūnas was born in Kaunas, on August 16, 1961. In 1989, he graduated from Boris Shchukin State Theatre Institute in Moscow and, subsequently, worked in theatres of Moscow. In 1992, the artist founded the Kaunas Small Theatre and worked as its art director. In 1994-1995, Rolandas Atkočiūnas was employed as the art director of the Šiauliai Drama Theatre; in 1995-1998, he was also the head of the theatre, and from 1998 to 2001, the artist worked as a director for this theatre. During the period of 2004-2008, he worked as the art director of the John the Baptist Festival in Zapyškis. In 2005-2008, Rolandas Atkočiūnas was the art director of the Liepaja Drama Theatre in Latvia and of the Juozas Miltinis Drama Theatre in Panevėžys in 2011-2012.
